G. Steven Roper was born in Pennsylvania, U.S.A but grew up in Kingston, Jamaica with his family. He spent his childhood years with his head in a sketchpad, drawing and creating comic books. His love of the Visual Arts propelled him to return to U.S in order to pursue a degree in Film and Media Arts at Temple University.
